His experiences span a broad spectrum of technologies in materials engineering, energy, physical sciences, green chemistry, agriculture, food and healthcare.

Sharad's core interests are business models and mechanisms, which best handle the market positioning and commercial development of cutting-edge technologies. He is most passionate about the synergies between considered IP frameworks, market strategy and business intelligence in the commercialisation of transformative technologies.

Sharad holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the University of Madras, a Graduate Diploma of Intellectual Property Law in Technology Commercialisation and IP Asset Management from the University of Technology Sydney and a Masters Degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Melbourne Business School, for which he received the Dean's Commendation. Sharad is also a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland, where he was on the Dean's List.
